I am mixed with two different ethnicities, why do people, when they find out call it romantic?
My dad was in the coast guard when he took a break from college. He was stationed to a pacific island and that’s where he met my mom, married her and the rest is history. Now were back in the US, but when I tell people my background, they say it’s so romantic. Is it really? I don’t think so.

I guess they recognise that it can be difficult to overcome differences in culture, whether it be language barriers, differences in beliefs, different way of life, different customs and so much more. Many people may be alientated by differences in culture, but your parents were able to overcome any of those issues and make their relationship work.

It’s romantic when people from different places and backgrounds find each other and fall in love inspite of all their differences. Maybe your parents have been together for so long, that they no longer show a lot of affection for each other and you can’t see the love between them that brought them together.

in this cases it depending on the perceptions of the local people. example my children are two different country Europe and Southeast Asia. They always said my children are romantic and beautiful.
But you have to be careful are they man or woman? What are the age of the people who said that?
Lucky you……, I’m a mixed product myself and I’m a male.
There’s lots of differences in male and female.
And the issues of racialism were obvious in our country.
But some people are trying hard to fine tune it,
you know, to make it feel a better place to share.
As lots of their parents had started to ” brainwashed ”
them since young.
You can’t deny it and only when you’re a mixed you can feel it.
If someday when I’m rich, I’ll try to search at the statistics.
Though there’s no point of me for knowing it
but I wanna to know is that why so I’m unable to look for a girl.
But when I’m looking through other races,
I’ve got no problems to get along at all but to communicate, NO.
I’m 40 and I can share more than a book to a movie in itself
regarding to this ” MIXED ” issues but until I have the proof,
not many were willing to listen.
It made me feel so ISOLATED.
As always, life still goes on.
The ONLY compliment I could get out of all this is,
it made me to become a better person and
I always sees the three sides of the coin.
Your parents meeting from other sides of the world is very Romantic.
